Testimonials

"My ten-year-old son absolutely loved attending Camp Windy Hill
during the 2012-15 summers. He participated in several of the camps and thoroughly enjoyed all of them. I loved that the camps focused on educational creativity with a healthy mix of good outdoor fun. Any of the camp options are a great addition to your child's summer vacation!”
—Darnella B.

"Thank you Kathy, for giving us another outlet for summer fun. Emily had a great time at camp and every day we picked her up, she had learned something new, made something new and couldn't wait to tell us about it. I felt safe leaving her at your house, knowing she was in good care. You are so creative and I appreciate the love in which you share your passions with children. I wish our schedule would have allowed her to go to all of the camps. I plan to send her again this summer."
—Cindy C.

"At first I thought it would be boring, but when I went it was great! I had a good time. I made new friends and saw old friends. We made shirts and people always tell me how much they like my shirt. We made paper. We saw the alpacas. They were soft and furry and we got to keep wool. We learned how to weave. We had duckie races with rubber ducks. We had good snacks. Miss Marty is so nice. I hope to go again next year."

"Camp Windy Hill was the highlight of my son's summer! A beautiful setting for a camp full of fun activities. My son looked forward to going everyday and always came home with many stories of fun and games from the day. Thanks for providing such a great environment for learning and creativity!”
—Sarah L.

"Our daughter still talks about the wonderful time she had at Camp Windy Hill while attending Fairy Camp last summer. She was able to share with other girls her age in imagination and creativity. We are the proud owners of some very wonderfully imaginative crafts and I know she greatly enjoyed creating them as much as I enjoy hearing the stories that go with them! What a great way to enjoy the great outdoors and summertime!!”
—Kathy F.

"Camp Ooey Gooey was awesome! I had a lot of fun. I really love your fish and your dog."
—Francesca L. (age 6)

"I just wanted to say thank you for your amazing Outer Space camp! Sonja had so much fun! We were blown away by the space suit and the stories and thought behind each piece on the backpack, space suit, and helmet. It was such a fantastic project . . . you put so much into it and I wanted to let you know it came through!!!! Just awesome!"
—Laura K.

"My girls had an amazing time at Budding Artists camp! Hands down the best camp they have ever done, and they've decided Camp Windy Hill is the only one they want to do every year from here on out. They especially love that they have a lot of free play."
—Rachel F.

"My son, who is nine years old, has been to many day camps over the last four years, and he without a doubt enjoyed Camp Windy Hill the most. Even though it has been seven months since he attended the one-week day camp, he still talks about how much fun the activities were. Notably, the teepee that was built over the week was his favorite. Searching for sticks and helping put the teepee together was a lot of fun. He found the water play refreshing and entertaining. He enjoyed making several different projects in the arts and craft room each morning. Mrs. Marty served tasty, healthy snacks daily which my son thoroughly enjoyed. I would recommend this camp to any parent who would like their child to experience a memorable week engaged in activities that you don't find at your usual day camp."
—Deborah G.

"We loved Fairy Camp! Our favorite activities were making houses and furniture for the fairies, making fairy finger puppets, reading fairy stories, and going in the woods to find special things to leave the fairies. We loved it when the fairies left little things for us. We really thought there were fairies all around."

"My daughter has attended Camp Windy Hill for six weeks of camp over the past three years and she is always excited about going back. Kathy and her daughter Erin provide a fun environment that encourages creativity and self-expression. The "out in the country" setting with lots of grass to play in and trees to climb make for fun-filled summer days. The crafts and activities are unique and educational, and the small group size is an added bonus. My daughter has learned to hot glue, saw, and even hammer nails in a safe, well-supervised environment. I find the camp to be an excellent value, especially considering the vast array of supplies made available to the kids. I'm sure we will be back!"

"Camp Windy Hill is the place to be! It’s magically freeing for the kids to be able to explore outdoors so much after being in a classroom all year long. Camp Windy Hill is a ‘good old days’ camp where the kids can run in the field and swing from and climb trees. They can explore walking paths, create crafts and projects, and cool down in the sprinklers and splash pools. Even my daughter, who dislikes getting dirty, felt free enough to create her first mud pie! But that’s not all! Being outdoors and enjoying nature is just a part of this great camp. Each week has its own theme and the kids learn about the weekly topic and make unique creations. The kids are supervised using materials such as glue guns, needle and thread, and hammer and nails. My daughter’s favorite activity was making a paper maché puppet that correlated with a camp play the parents were invited to watch! This will be my daughter’s third year at camp and she has attended at least six weeks every year. My daughter talks about the camp all year long and is so excited when camp time arrives. I can’t thank Kathy enough for her dedication, creativity, and passion for the kids and her program. The children are loved and well cared for and given opportunities to explore, express themselves, and learn new things. Camp Windy Hill is where you go to have fun in the summer but leave creating a lifetime of memories!"
—Tania W.

"Camp Windy Hill is a wonderful place for adventure! There’s tons of activities, crafts, and playing outside. My favorite part of camp was making a puppet. Hope you enjoy camp :) "
