A Message from Camp Windy Hill

Dear Camp Windy Hill families,

It is with deep regret that I’ve decided to not offer summer camps in 2021. I have struggled with this decision for months and analyzed it from every possible angle. Between concerns about Covid (and the MANY adjustments required of a camp to keep everyone safe), and some new health challenges of my own and my husband’s, camps just aren’t a possibility this year. I love having your children here all summer, and I will miss them terribly.

If circumstances improve in the next few months, I may send out a last-minute notice of small group camp sessions at Camp Windy Hill. But please go ahead and make other plans for your children. As I’m sure you know, the organizations that are offering summer camps are filling quickly.

If it’s not too much of a stretch for you to drive to Gresham, Oregon, I highly recommend the outdoor summer camps at Circus Cascadia. I volunteered at Circus Cascadia several years ago when they were based in Portland, and Paul and his team are amazing with kids. They specialize in teaching circus skills including stilt-walking, clowning, tightrope, diabolo, flower sticks, ball walking, and many more. They have a supportive and fun-loving group of highly talented counselors.

I hope you are able to find some wonderful activities for your children this summer. If you find camps or classes that your kids rave about, I would love to hear about them.
